Backcountry skiing in the alpine village of Črna na Koroškem is truly something special. Winters are still real winters, and the possibilities for backcountry skiing are endless. The best routes are accessible from the summits of Peca, Raduha, Olševa, Smrekovec, Uršlja gora, and all the surrounding hills. Upon request, we can provide you with information about hiring a backcountry skiing guide, ensuring you can safely explore the Koroška peaks, whether solo or in a group.
In Črna na Koroškem, there are two natural climbing areas: Burjakove peči, located in the landscape park of the Topla Valley, with over seventy equipped climbing routes, and nearby bouldering problems. The second is the Matvoz climbing area, which has some easier routes. On Kordeževa Glava on Mount Peca and in the northern face of Raduha, there are more serious alpine routes for those with greater climbing and mountaineering experience.
Črna na Koroškem, with its unique natural backdrop, offers a range of truly interesting hiking challenges and trails for both serious and less experienced hikers throughout the year. Peca, Raduha, Olševa, Smrekovec, and Uršlja gora provide every hiker with exactly what they need, most importantly, peace and breathtaking views.
Olimpline in Črna na Koroškem is special because during the descent, you can enjoy unique views of the most beautiful village in Carinthia, Slovenia – Črna. It is also one of the longest zip lines in Europe. As you zip down, you race along a 1,263-meter cable at speeds of up to 120 km/h, reaching heights of up to 219 meters above the ground. It's truly exhilarating, I tell you!
In Črna, there are two via ferratas offering different levels of climbing difficulty. The Olimpline via ferrata starts directly from the center of Črna and leads to an exit at the beginning of a cliff. This ferrata is generally rated as difficulty C, but it features several sections rated D and E, as well as one challenge rated F – for truly well-prepared via ferrata climbers. The Mučevo via ferrata is named after the Mučevo Gorge, also known as Hudi Graben by locals. This ferrata offers two variants or levels of difficulty, so everyone can find something suited to their abilities.
Horseback riding and all types of riding courses can be found at the Jerak Ranch in Podpeca. For any additional information, we are at your disposal.
This unique five-star experience is truly an adventure of a special kind. You can explore the underground of Peca by bike, train, and kayak. The Peca Underground also features a unique underground trail called the Black Hole Trail, which is reserved for experienced mountain bikers. We can organize all these experiences for you!
K24 is the Koroška mountain challenge that was born on the shoulders of the "old guard" of Črna enthusiasts several years ago. Today, this Koroška mountain challenge is held annually as a competition – the K24 Ultra Trail race.
